Get Involved

There are so many ways you can get involved with the Concerned Citizens of Giles County and any help you can provide is greatly appreciated. Please, don’t hesitate to contribute to the cause.

1. Sign our Petition

2: Donate money.

We need donations for many different reasons. Your money would go towards legal fees, billboard costs, paying for expert opinions and newspaper ads, and many other worthy causes. Currently, Ellen Woodyard is our treasurer. You can donate online by clicking the link on the sidebar or send your donation to:

Concerned Citizens of Giles County

PO Box 112, Pearisburg, VA 24134

3 : Come to the meetings!

One of the easiest ways to make a big difference is to come to the meetings and get to know the Concerned Citizens of Giles County. We usually meet every third tuesday of the month. The meetings are always listed on the homepage and announcements will go out on the email list as well.

4: Write to the media

The Cumberland Park Project isn’t just some small town issue. This is a national problem being dealt with in a small town. The media needs to report about everything that happens from local politics to lack of national regulation. Please write to your local newspaper and even larger media enterprises.

5: Write to State Representatives

The regulations for disposal of coal combustion wastes are currently the responsibility of the state. Letting state representatives know that there is a serious problem is imperative for our cause.
